Proverbs 3:5-6 (BereanStandardBible)
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight."
Proverbs 3:5–6 reminds us that trusting God isn’t always easy. There are moments when we feel desperate or like we’re running out of time, but we can’t allow our circumstances to rush us into decisions that may lead us down the wrong path. God asks for our trust because He knows all things, and He is not bound by time.
In John 11, when Jesus was told that Lazarus was gravely ill, He didn’t rush to get to him. Jesus already knew the outcome before it came to be. No matter what the situation looked like, Jesus trusted God.
When Jesus arrived, Lazarus had already been dead for four days. The people doubted anything could be done. Jesus said, “Did I not tell you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?”
Jesus called out to Lazarus and said, “Come out!” And Lazarus came out of the tomb where he had been buried.
Our job is to:
Trust God when timing feels off - delay doesn't mean denial
Don’t let urgency push you into premature action
Believe that God sees the end from the beginning
Give God the glory because we waited and believed
Where is God asking you to trust Him this week?
